Roadmap: Going for Goals

Thinking about pursuing a goal can be an overwhelming proposition.

Is now the right time?

How can you be sure it’s what you want?

Where do you get the time and energy to dedicate to it?

These are just a few of the uncomfortable questions people have to confront when starting to seriously consider pursuing a goal. This is not to mention the negative voice that runs rampant through most of our minds…

“You’re not good enough to achieve that. What makes you think you’re so special? People have just been nice to you. You’re wasting your time.”

We’re mean to ourselves. It’s not fair. Goals are hard enough to reach without the mental turmoil that rages on within our own heads throughout the whole process. Even if you’re one of the lucky few who doesn’t have to suffer from the inner voice of doubt, all of us will eventually suffer from the external societal voice of doubt.

Maybe it’s our friends and family who don’t give us the support we need. Maybe it’s our connections and followers on social media who bash our early attempts.

With all the confusion, the doubt, and the criticism, it’s hard to believe anyone chases their dreams at all.

Have no fear though. Lots of people have pushed through these discomforts and prevailed.

And you can too.

Whether you’re starting a new business or optimizing the one you have..

Whether you’re writing a book or building an app..

Whether you’re going for your first promotion or for partner..

The elements of pursuing a goal remain the same.

1. Get CRYSTAL CLEAR on what you want.

2. Identify WHEN you want to achieve it by.

3. Define a ROADMAP on how to get from here to there.

4. Identify the smallest step you can take RIGHT NOW.

5. TAKE ACTION NOW!

The world is created by people who are willing to take action. Those who do often fail. Those who fail enough, eventually succeed. If you want something bad enough, you just need to keep trying. This is your life, you might as well spend it doing what you want.
